Scar camouflage is the art of matching your exact skin tone and depositing pigment into a healed scar so the contrast between the scar and the skin around it softens. The scar is not erased — it is blended, and blending is usually what makes it stop drawing the eye.
The best candidates are scars that are fully healed, pale or lighter than the surrounding skin, and flat rather than raised. At your consultation we’ll look at the scar together and I’ll tell you honestly what it can and can’t do.

The same five steps for every client, so you always know what comes next.
Every treatment begins with a complimentary consultation, either in person or virtually. We’ll discuss your goals, your medical history when applicable, evaluate the treatment area, and determine whether you’re a good candidate. You’ll receive a personalized treatment plan based on your skin, your goals, and your expected outcome. If I don’t believe someone is a good candidate, I’ll always be honest and recommend the best course of action.
We’ll go over the recommended treatment, expected results, pricing, the estimated number of sessions, the healing timeline, and aftercare before moving forward. Every treatment plan is customized, because no two scars — and no two clients — are the same.
Treatments are performed in a private studio using sterile, single-use equipment and professional-quality products. Most appointments last between one and three hours, depending on the size and complexity of the area being treated.
You’ll receive detailed written aftercare instructions following your procedure. Most treatments heal over approximately two to four weeks, while final results become visible around six to eight weeks as the skin completes the healing process.
After healing, we’ll evaluate the results together and decide whether an additional treatment or refinement is recommended. Because everyone’s skin heals differently, treatment recommendations are always individualized.

As a general rule, at least a year, and fully healed — no scabbing, no redness still settling, no active changes. Scars keep maturing for a long time, and matching color to a scar that is still changing gives an unreliable result.
Raised, keloid, and hyperpigmented scars are harder, and camouflage is sometimes not the right answer for them — inkless scar revision may suit the texture better. This is exactly what the consultation is for, and I’ll tell you if I don’t think it’s a good fit.
No, and anyone promising that isn’t being straight with you. The goal is to reduce the contrast so the scar blends and stops being the first thing you or anyone else notices. For most clients that difference is significant.
For camouflage work a small test area is often the smart move. It lets us confirm the color match and see how your skin holds pigment before committing to the full area.
Scar tissue often has reduced sensation, and most clients find the experience very tolerable. Your comfort sets the pace — we stop whenever you need to.
